PROVINCES AND CULTURE
Lanao del Sur: Situated in the heart of Mindanao, Lanao del Sur is a predominantly Maranao province known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. It is home to Lake Lanao, the largest lake in Mindanao, and the iconic Marawi City, a center for Islamic learning and trade.
Maguindanao: Maguindanao is a vast province with a predominantly Maguindanao population. It is known for its fertile plains, which are home to a thriving agricultural sector. Maguindanao is also a center for Islamic scholarship and has a strong tradition of weaving and other crafts.
Basilan: Basilan is an island province located in the Sulu Sea. It is known for its diverse population, which includes Yakan, Tausug, and Sama communities. Basilan is also home to Basilan National Park, a protected area with rich biodiversity.
Tawi-Tawi: The southernmost province in the Philippines, Tawi-Tawi is an archipelago of over 300 islands. It is known for its pristine beaches, diverse marine life, and unique Sama culture. Tawi-Tawi is also a major center for fishing and pearl farming.

While technically not a province, Cotabato City is the de facto capital of BARMM. It is a bustling urban center, serving as a major hub for commerce, education, and transportation in the region. It has a diverse population with a mix of Muslim, Christian, and indigenous communities.
The 63 Barangays In North Cotabato:
In six different towns of North Cotabato, 63 Barangays are now officially part of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The 63 barangays include the following: Dunguan and Tapodoc in Aleosan; Manarapan, Nasapian, Kibayao, Ktulaan, Langogan, Pebpoloan and Tupig in Carmen; Nanga-an, Simbuhay, Sanggadong, Buluan, Pedtad, Simone and Tamped in Kabacan; Damatulan, Kadigasan, Kadingilan, Kapinpilan, Kudarangan, Central Labas, Malingao, Mudseng, Nabalawag, Olandang, Sambulawan, Tugal and Tumbras in Midsayap; Lower Baguer, Balacayon, Buricain, Datu Binasing, Kadingilan, Matilac, Patot, Lower Pangangkalan, Datu Mantil, Libungan Torreta, Upper Pangangkalan and Simsiman in Pigcawayan; and Bagoinged, S. Balong, S. Balongis, Batulaawan, Buliok, Gokotan, Kabasalan, Lagunde, Macabual, Macasendeg, Barungis, Bualan, Bulol, Fort Pikit, Gli-gli, Manaulanan, Nabundas, Nalapaan, Nunguan, Pamalian, Panicupan and Rajah Muda.
